Monday’s the day when the government releases the list of the lowest of the low in the current latrine known as Parliament in the form of the Legg Report. The slimiest of the slimy 100 who throughout the expenses scandal kept quiet hoping that the MP benefit fraud exposures would go away are to be ‘outed’ by Sir Thomas Legg who’s going to announce which bent MPs have used parliamentary expenses to improve their second homes to make a profit rather than just maintain them, and who’s used taxpayers' money to pay off the capital element of mortgages, instead of just interest on the borrowing, as is allowed under the rules.
All MPs named on Monday guilty of the above crime should be sacked without question or consultation and made to repay double the amount that they’ve stolen from the taxpayer (that’s the NHS worker, the member of our armed services, the old person and the unwell that they’ve been saying they care about at their recent conferences).
They represent the worst of the worst politicians this country has experienced for almost seventy years.
