Gary McKinnon, the 42 year old, reticent British super hacker embarrassed the finest computer minds and the best security software writers on big fat salaries dedicated to the safe guarding of the United States of America.Did he do it with the intention of bringing down the West as an act of terrorism? Apparently he was researching a theory that the US was using alien technologies to create weapons and ‘free energy’. With no known links to the Taliban, Gary McKinnon was meticulously interrogating databases for himself and poses no threat to US or British National Security.
Whilst there is no doubt about him doing some of what the American prosecutors say he did, his ability to do what he did and the fanatical, dedicated way in which he did it may be attributed to his Asperger's Syndrome, diagnosed only last year.
If you can call re-writing crap security software clearly not fit for the purpose ‘damage’, he’s caused one million dollars worth of 'damage' (according to U.S. claims) and doubtless the departure of certain individuals working at the Pentagon responsible for the fact that America’s best internet security was actually a load of bollocks.
Although Gary McKinnon’s legal representatives are about to appeal again against his extradition to the States for trial, the Gordon Brown (Saviour of the World) Rapid Response, Citizen Protection Team and the Law Lords have already thrown in the towel and offered McKinnon up for slaughter. Why? We’re talking about a British person here!
Gary McKinnon travelled no nearer to America than Palmers Green, North London and was caught in November 2002 when he attempted downloading a photograph that he believed was of an alien craft held on a NASA computer at the Johnson Space Centre in Houston. His naivety, and proof that he was not a ‘professional’ was evident in the use of his girlfriends email address which prompted his ‘capture’.
Offering up one of our countrymen to be taken from his home, family, friends and familiar surroundings to a foreign nation’s legal system, in this case is spineless government in the extreme.
When the country gets rid of Brown in May let’s get rid of the current Law Lords as well?

Nothing to do with the goverment, this is simply an act of law. See Andrew Marr Show from Sunday on the iplayer. Hack the US Goverment, big mistake! Guss what they do not like it at all.
Nothing to do with the Government? You are having a laugh surely? It was this (Tony Blair) Government that agreed to the one sided Extradition Act 2003.
Saying 'it's the law' is a cop out. It's a very shitty law with no discretion and it must be changed.
I am no defender of Gary McKinnon - the title of the post after this 'free gary mckinnon' takes the defence to (in my opinion) the opposite end of the spectrum to 'extradite this terrorist'.
