FREE GARY MCKINNON

What a weak pile of sycophantic muck we have ‘running’ our country; a government so wrapped up with being up the Americans butt our Home Secretary openly states that he’d be breaking the Extradition Act if he even opposed the dragging off of Gary McKinnon and stated a preference for a domestic trial.

If the U.S. Government demands Britain extradite a British subject on terrorism grounds, the dozy wankers in the Labour Government have signed all of our rights away by allowing the Americans to take us over seas without having to put any evidence into court. Once in the States, we cannot claim legal aid and have to fund our own defence so in effect, your life’s ruined whether you’re innocent or guilty.

When the British Government so much as asks whether maybe the Americans might possibly consider extraditing one of theirs to Britain, the Americans demand details of the allegations and evidence (quite right too). Since 2004, we have allowed 56 British subjects to be dragged off to the States to be forgotten by our Government; the U.S. has allowed 26 of it’s own to be extradited to Blighty.

Chris Huhne, the Liberal Democrats' home affairs spokesman, said: "The fact that we are extraditing twice as many people as our American counterparts is yet more evidence of how unbalanced the extradition treaty is”.
There must also be room for the rules to be applied with discretion as in the case of Gary McKinnon – it’s not good enough saying ‘it’s the law, we have to comply’ – change the stupid shitty law – this is just another symptom of a weak government who is prepared to sell us down the river if it means a pat on the head from the United States, a country far from being the role model of fairness, honesty and decency.
