It’s no secret that Thames Valley Police is stretched on the manpower front with as few as five officers being responsible for Town Centre policing at certain times of the day. Successful recruitment to it’s youth movement has eased the situation although further measures are still required to save Police Officer’s time, which isn’t cheap. One idea being tried in Reading is letting convicted criminals off scott free encouraging them to stab someone else or mug another old woman which means that 40% of crime in the town is now being committed by people whos details are already on file – hey presto – less paperwork, it’s just another entry on an excel spreadsheet and a monkey can do that!
By letting the criminals off repeatedly, the CPS hope to get this figure up to 97.45% enabling the government to replace eight hundred and fifty beat officers with temps – hey presto – reduced Police wage bill which fits in with Labour’s plans who have always looked to slap the Force down whenever it can.
A senior person related to a department dealing with the CPS allegedly told Reading’s Evening Post, “Although the system has highlighted a couple of minor downsides, i.e. more people get shot, robbed, stabbed, raped etc, if one person’s doing most of the crime, we can do away with an entire Police Department doing costly things like crime scene investigation, tracking people down and spraying that luminol stuff everywhere replacing it with one disabled person and a laptop who’s salary is subsidised by National Government”.
If you asked one hundred people in the street, “Do you think that convicted criminals get the sentence they deserve?”, one hundred would say no – so who do the Crown Prosecution Service work for? Not the victims – that’s a dead cert or a dead Manchester woman whichever the case may be.
If the Tories don’t address current CPS leniency and their contempt for the Police Officers compiling a case as one of their first priorities after May next year, I can see more people turning to vigilante forms of revenge rather than the Police and the Courts who will only waste their time and let the perpetrator off, and that’s one stage nearer to anarchy.
