The buying and selling of Nazi memorabilia is big business and getting bigger much to the annoyance of people who’d rather pretend that the Nazis never happened and think that complementing any aspect of Nazism is a sign of being one; Martin Salter suffers from this lefty ailment.
Whether you like it or not, the Nazis (pronounced 'Germans') did exist and although they were barbarous failures through poor leadership and ultimately a lack of support by the people, there were some things they did extremely well like designing a damn good uniform, building massive ‘power’ structures, staging events, motivating speeches and organising heavy industry.
The power of symbolism, well recognised by the Romans, Spartans and the Greeks was not lost on Hitler and his Nazi possee. Albert Speer built big to impress, inspire confidence and scare; their colour scheme, red, white and black was meant to be striking, to clash and to instil fear into its enemies which it did with aplomb.
I’d love to see all of Hitler’s paintings (and own one); to know what the young Hitler was and did and why he turned into the despotic coward that he became. I’ve waded my way through as much of Mein Kampf as I could stand (it’s a load of unreadable bollocks) and am just as interested to see/read the same of Gandhi and Mao Tse Tung.
“j’accusing” all as Nazis who buy an iron cross or post a picture of Dietrich von Choltitz (the saviour of Paris) on their blog is no less damaging than Nazism was.
According to Martin (left of Gandhi) Salter and the Bullshitters Broadcasting Corporation, it’s traditional for there to be mass ‘rioting on the Sunday night of Reading Festival’ (Roger Johnson, BBC South Today – Friday 25.09.2009). Having been to the festival on numerous occasions and lived in Reading for longer than I care to remember, how come I haven’t heard of this tradition? Because it’s a load of bollocks, that’s why.
Salter, always one for a centimetre of newspaper column or a minute on BBC South met with other like minded Daily Mail reading knobs yesterday to discuss this annual rioting in order to work out how it can be prevented in the future – that must have been a brief meeting - then again being benefit cheats (politicians in general) I'm sure that the attendees had a lovely lunch.
So when does a big bonfire become a riot? Clearly in Gandhi's opinion it’s when young people are involved. Strange that Thames Valley Police released a statement after this years event saying that it had been a good festival with below average incidents. This is typical Labour – big on bollocks, big on talking bollocks.
Roger Johnson and Martin (left of Gandhi) Salter have exaggerated an incident to the point of lying. Johnson can be forgiven because he’s a shit presenter capable of nothing more than reading a script written by monkies (apologies to monkies) but Salter should have done a bit of research before slagging off his home town.
The rioting Mr Salter so boldly strives to stop was in Leeds; Reading’s twin festival. In Reading a couple of tents were thrown into a fire, not good, a little fence was pulled down, not good but it certainly was not a riot. The sooner Salter buggers off the better; we really don’t need a born again, angling Jesus type slagging off our town thank you very much.

Silly bastards, make them give it back.

Rainy winters snug by the fire, sunny hot summers like Spain growing olives, grapes, lemons and limes; this is climate change - don't listen to them - they're talking bollocks.

WELL DONE PIERRE
A big thank you to Pierre, Jean Paul, Luc and Marco, the four Froggie fishermen for starving Britain of goods over the last few days - that's not 'French' at all is it?
