MARIE
Every time I go into the shed I can’t help but look at the small marble shield shaped grave marker confirming that Marie is now with Jesus.
There’s no grave there; it’s just a piece of marble along with old wheelbarrow tyres, bent up chicken wire, chipped panes of glass, broken flower pots and metal racking long ago forgotten or needed by the previous and long gone owner of the house.
For some reason, occasionally, I can’t help but touch it. For some reason I feel Marie’s looking out for my cat who likes to sleep in the shed when it rains and he couldn’t be arsed to go the extra ten feet to the house.
I have no idea what species Marie was but hope she was a cat or a dog rather than a human. Regardless I’ve made sure she’s dry and out of the wind and hope that wherever she is now in spirit, she’s happy – I think she is!

GID'S NIB
A couple of wrinklies have won £25 Million on the Euro Lottery saying that it's not going to change their lives.
Silly bastards, make them give it back.
2080
Rainy winters snug by the fire, sunny hot summers like Spain growing olives, grapes, lemons and limes; this is climate change - don't listen to them - they're talking bollocks.
HARMAN BACKS BROWN
Harman tells reporters: Like every sturdy knocker, this Country needs a knob and Gordon's the best man for the job.
WELL DONE PIERRE
A big thank you to Pierre, Jean Paul, Luc and Marco, the four Froggie fishermen for starving Britain of goods over the last few days - that's not 'French' at all is it?
HELLO
