There are many ways in which Britain will benefit from a toastier, warmer climate.Environmentalists constantly complain about the distance food travels to our supermarkets so no doubt they’ll be delighted at our new ability to grow olives, citrus fruit, bananas, more grape varieties, tea etc.
Air travel to the Mediterranean for summer holidays will decrease as British resorts get warmer; this too will obviously please the eco prevaricators although I haven’t heard them clapping yet.
Smaller glaciers will mean more fresh water available for everyone and a rising of sea levels will mean the disappearance of coastal towns like Gosport and the Maldives will require less life guards.
Fuel bills will come down meaning less burning of fossil fuels – that’s good for the wallet and good for the environment. This, yet again will doubtless please the eco-possee – wont it?
