The Brazilian version of our Environment Agency has named two Swindon based companies, Worldwide Biorecyclables and UK Multiplas Recycling set up in the past two years by Andre De Oliveira and Julio Da Costa, two Brazilian immigrant workers who had arrived in Britain six years ago as building labourers as being involved.
One of the Directors, based in England, told the Brazilian wing of the BBC that the containers should have held mixed plastics for recycling and any other contents were the responsibility of his suppliers?
Arrangements are being made to return the rotting crap to the UK although our EA has confirmed that this may take a few weeks; this came after Brazil demanded its return. Andre in the meantime has apparently gone back to Brazil to hide having wound up the Worldwide Biorecyclables venture.
Moving predominantly domestic waste back across the seas to remove and treat an element of clinical waste is plain stupid and goes against the common principles of waste travelling as short a distance as practicable from cradle to grave. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Brazil could easily treat this waste and landfill the domestic element as efficiently as Britain, it all comes down to cost which Brazil, being the injured party here could name at its own discretion as Andre De Oliveira and Julio Da Costa will ultimately be footing the bill.

In English we say "you write about crap" however good attempt and no - you can keep our stinking rubbish in return for the billions of brazil nut shells we've had to deal with over the years.

I agree with your idea, Brazil should treat it if they have the capability and just charge the two companies based in Swindon for creating the situation in the first place. It doesn't make sense having to shift it all back here if it's not necessary, there's all sorts of risks involved with that type of a procedure, like a potential spillage into the sea.
