Abercrombie & Fitch has been ambushed by a law student with a prosthetic arm in the UK who it appears joined the company with a view to getting "humiliated" thus giving her an opportunity to sue them following the Gonzalez v. Abercrombie & Fitch discrimination lawsuit settlement in the States.Riam Dean, 22 (the law student) told the central London tribunal that she felt "humiliated" and "questioned her worth as a human being" before quitting her job because she was made to work in the storeroom, out of the view of customers, because her cardigan did not adhere to the "looks policy".
Dean is thought to be seeking in the region of £25,000 in compensation. This is so obvious (in my opinion) – she heard about the Gonzalez lawsuit, thought I’ll have some of that, applied for a job – was given a job by the "oppressive regime", got moved to the backroom and here we are in court - nice try Riam.
