There’s a cat that frequents our garden from who knows where. She is possibly the most sprightly, friendliest, attention seeking beast I have ever had the pleasure to meet (our cat aside (should he see a copy of this)). She wraps herself around your legs repeatedly before putting either front or rear paws on your shoes rendering you motionless and then stands on her hind legs to head butt your hand.
Her purr is clearly audible from half a mile away and she would unhesitatingly fight a fully grown bull elephant over a small piece of cheddar cheese or a prawn in chilli sauce from the night before.
She has a dark side, she is a stalker, an expert killing machine and is always on duty ready to leg it off after a rabbit, lost Bison or Jason Bourne super squirrel.
At 3:10 this morning I awoke to the sounds of a beasty clearly unhappy about the scenario it found itself in. I opened the curtains to see we’d left the outside light on; from the left ran three rabbits at full pelt closely followed by aforementioned cat closely followed by a fox which seemed more interested in overtaking and avoiding the cat than catching it.
You don’t see that everyday.
There are still three rabbits, two cats and one fox within the vicinity.
