Following the discovery of the Staffordshire Hoard (the largest hoard of gold from the Anglo Saxon period ever found) near Lichfield which includes over 1500 items made from 5kg of gold and over 2.5kg of silver, there is a growing movement to keep the treasure in Lichfield.
Local museums have set up a campaign to raise funds to keep the hoard as close to where it was found as possible stating quite rightly that it relates to the area.
It’s good to see British people putting a value on locality and as such isn’t it about time we returned the Rosetta Stone and Elgin Marbles to Egypt and Greece respectively which are currently residing in the British Museum that has no legitimate claim to them whatsoever.

GID'S NIB
A couple of wrinklies have won £25 Million on the Euro Lottery saying that it's not going to change their lives.
Silly bastards, make them give it back.

Rainy winters snug by the fire, sunny hot summers like Spain growing olives, grapes, lemons and limes; this is climate change - don't listen to them - they're talking bollocks.

WELL DONE PIERRE
A big thank you to Pierre, Jean Paul, Luc and Marco, the four Froggie fishermen for starving Britain of goods over the last few days - that's not 'French' at all is it?
