A WAKE UP CALL
This morning at six minutes past four, I was awoken by one of our cats striding up the length of the bed (on me) until his face reached level with my face. I could make out his shape and realised that he came bearing a gift. I should point out that he’s a chunky chap and walks like John Wayne but I digress.
He then dropped his little toy ‘bear in sack’ onto my face – a present. Unfortunately he’d obviously just been eating some of his Whiskers with stinky cod which was coated on the little bear and subsequently, my face.
Cats truly are a wake up call but more importantly; a leveller – in truth (they wake you up) and in spirit (I can’t think of another example of something wiping cod smelling spit across my face causing me to smile).

GID'S NIB
A couple of wrinklies have won £25 Million on the Euro Lottery saying that it's not going to change their lives.
Silly bastards, make them give it back.

Rainy winters snug by the fire, sunny hot summers like Spain growing olives, grapes, lemons and limes; this is climate change - don't listen to them - they're talking bollocks.
HARMAN BACKS BROWN
Harman tells reporters: Like every sturdy knocker, this Country needs a knob and Gordon's the best man for the job.
WELL DONE PIERRE
A big thank you to Pierre, Jean Paul, Luc and Marco, the four Froggie fishermen for starving Britain of goods over the last few days - that's not 'French' at all is it?
HELLO
