HBOS announced that it has only lost the odd ten, maybe eleven billion pounds in 2008 so things weren’t as bad as everyone’s been making out. Unfortunately this news created a run on the dumping of Lloyds Strychnine plc shares which saw the value of the group drop by five billion quid in four and a half hours.As we, the dosey tax payers own thirty per cent of the group; we’ve just lost another two billion from our stake which is good.
Ex head of HBOS when allegations of incompetence were levelled at him by waiting journalists outside his home said “boring, yawn, boring yawn, heard it all before, now get your fucking greasy little working class hands off my Bentley Continental GT you socialist scum”.
