10 DIE ON QE2 CRIUSETravellers on the QE2 Christmas Cruise have stated that it was the worst and more importantly, the most incompetently run experience of their cruising lives.
From the outset people were informed that the regular crew had understandably buggered off to the new Queen Victoria leaving the QE2 with no experienced staff.
Cunard reacted to this staff shortage by employing as many eastern European people as they could, regardless of experience (or lack of it).
Complaints range from the whole thing being tacky and without ‘feeling’, to specifics like the Latvian singer who fell off his stool due to being too pissed to retain his balance.
A juggler not capable of juggling three balls at once also astonished and bored the cruisers which may have had a part in the fact that ten people died on the cruise.
The Crown must however go to the Captain who forgot to let the band and the revellers know that 12.00 a.m. had arrived on 01.01.2008 – he was busy apparently!

We were on this cruise. It was terrible - please let as many people know as possible.
Normally Cunard do not lose so many of it's client's on one cruise but this one had more than the average number of octogenarians so what do you expect?
The codgers that we threw overboard were dead because of age not bad juggling.
My words "leaving the QE2 with no experienced staff" were blatently wrong and I retract them.
Too late blogger - you wrote em and were going to extradite your ass to southampton on charges of terrorism
there's nothing false about this report; we experienced the juggling and felt the attention to detail usually typical of the Queen was gone.
we were in the great hall when my friend camw out after the juggler did his thing - it was not what we would have expected of cunard and my husband will be complaining.
