GLOBAL WARMING IS NATURAL

Allegedly too many people burning wood account for the imminent better summers, kinder winters and the British Isles ability to grow grapes for wine production; not gas guzzling 4x4 off roaders which are far fewer than the number of stoves around.

Burning firewood produces 800,000 metric tons of soot worldwide each year. In comparison, diesel cars and trucks generate about 890,000 metric tons of soot annually.

Perhaps as many as 400 million of these stoves, fuelled by wood or crop residue, are used daily for cooking and heating by more than 2 billion people worldwide, according to the study’s lead authors, Tami Bond, Ph.D., and doctoral candidate Chris Roden of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

These two sources each account for about 10 percent of the soot emitted into the world’s atmosphere each year.

Bearing in mind that global warming is in fact not a symptom of sheep burps, wood stoves and boy racers but in reality a natural fifteen hundred year global cycle, don’t worry unless you’re living in Portsmouth which with luck will disappear into the sea before the end of 2050.
