SCHOOLS & HOSPITALS TO FIGHT ARMY

A poll today shows the failing Labour dinosaur under Gordon Brown continuing to suffer with support for the party at the rock bottom level it experienced at the end of Tony Blair's government. Come back Tony – we miss you.

The ICM poll for a national newspaper has Labour down four on 31 per cent, with the Tories on 37 per cent (protest votes only please), down three points on the same survey last month.

It comes as Gordon Brown warned his critics in the military that the armed forces must compete with schools and hospitals for funding. This can only mean the withdrawal of British troops from Iraq and Afghanistan or maybe he’ll continue to oversee our forces being under equipped with boots that melt in the sand, lack of flak jackets, unavailable road side bomb protection and operational support being led by Territorial Army units not trained for the job.

He insisted that his first duty is to improve the nation's education and health system (for wounded troops amongst others), as well as provide economic stability for the voters, so stuff the army basically, none of whom signed up for suicide missions.

If Brown really wants to fund the hospitals better, get the army out of Iraq where they’re spending all of their waking hours defending themselves as opposed to the local people.

General Sir Mike Jackson, head of the Army until last year, became the latest senior former defence chief to attack Brown when he warned that spending on the forces is 'out of kilter' with other departments.
