RBC LOSING THE DRUG BATTLE
In 2003, when agencies across Reading started working together to tackle the town’s drug problem, crack cocaine use was soaring, street prostitution to fund a drug habit was common and drug-related burglaries and robberies were sky high.
In 2004 the figure for the number of people dependent on drugs was 775. But the latest estimate is that there are 1,750 people in Reading “with a predominant pattern of opiate and poly drug use”.
Worse still, Reading still has the highest death rate from drugs-related causes in Berkshire with nine deaths out of 22 in the county in 2006 occurring in the borough. http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/2017/2017299/we_must_tackle_drink_problem
IN MEMORY OF

GID'S NIB
A couple of wrinklies have won £25 Million on the Euro Lottery saying that it's not going to change their lives.
Silly bastards, make them give it back.
2080
Rainy winters snug by the fire, sunny hot summers like Spain growing olives, grapes, lemons and limes; this is climate change - don't listen to them - they're talking bollocks.
HARMAN BACKS BROWN
Harman tells reporters: Like every sturdy knocker, this Country needs a knob and Gordon's the best man for the job.
WELL DONE PIERRE
A big thank you to Pierre, Jean Paul, Luc and Marco, the four Froggie fishermen for starving Britain of goods over the last few days - that's not 'French' at all is it?
HELLO
