Tempestuous Torquay weather put competitors skills to the test this weekend as Torbay played host to the opening round of the 2007 Honda Formula 4-Stroke Powerboat Series.
Despite temperamental weather conditions thousands of spectators turned up in Torquay today (Saturday 12th May), to watch the world’s largest offshore powerboat series.
After a seven-year absence, Torquay made a welcome return to the race calendar where the series celebrated its 75th round.
Two action packed races wowed the local Devon crowd as competitors contended with varying conditions when calm Saturday morning waters turned into stormy seas.
